In Kiev, 19 surrogate-born babies are trapped in a basement that acts as a refuge since war began. To take care of them there are some tate. The fate of these newborns is uncertain and their biological parents cannot travel to Ukraine through the war.
Ukraine is one of the few countries to offer surrogated maternity services to foreigners. The country has fourteen companies that offer this service, and the biotexcom, which manages a basement, is the largest.
